Cranberry Township is a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA, affectionately known as the “City of Bridges.”

Drawing on the theme of connection, the design team capitalized on the urban nature of the neighborhood by placing the building within 15 feet of the street, providing walkways to the adjacent dog park and children’s playground, and creating an outdoor space for all to enjoy. The entry sequence features a bridge that seamlessly connects the independent living and assisted living and leads to a motor court reminiscent of a luxury hotel. IL and AL residents can freely meet in the community center to enjoy a cocktail in the wine bar, view art in the gallery, or inspire each other to push their fitness goals further in the wellness retreat that includes a fitness room, indoor pool, and salon with a dedicated massage room. Resident units feature oversized windows providing views of the spectacular fall foliage, gourmet kitchens with stainless steel appliances and farm sinks, and custom built-in shelving and storage solutions.
